Candidates for admission to ATSU-SOMA are strongly encouraged to spend time shadowing an osteopathic physician and obtain a letter of support from that The applicant must have achieved a minimum 2.80 cumulative grade point average overall and a 2.80 minimum science grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

To be considered for admission to SOMA applicants typically complete four years of undergraduate work culminating in a bachelor's degree. Osteopathic medical schools require one year each of biological sciences, physics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and six semester hours of English.

The college requires MCAT test scores taken within three years of application. Applicants are required to submit scores from the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).

The applicant is strongly encouraged to have clinical exposure in a healthcare environment.

SOMA is my top choice. I was reading their website and it said that everyone with a minimum cumulative and science GPA of 2.8 will get a secondary application. Does that mean (at least for SOMA) that if you get a secondary application that it's not so much about the numbers anymore? Thank you again for.
